(An Analysis Of Who Would Be in Heaven And On Earth)

Perhaps you were astonished with the title of this blog. Perhaps you thought of the future kings or presidents of countries. This doesn’t refer to them but rather to those becoming spiritual rulers of the earth. These are the 144, 000 sons of Israel (Israel of God) who came from every human race in the world. I just hope you will realize and have understanding on who they are and what they will do in the future. The Bible says they will rule over the nations of the world.

“To those who win the victory, who continue
to the end to do what I want, I will give the
same authority that I received from my
: I will give authority over the nations, to
rule them with an iron rod and to break them to
pieces like clay pots. I will also give them the morning star
Revelation 2:26-28, TEV

They were introduced as the 144, 000 sons of Israel. A chosen race of Jehovah God who were redeemed from humanity, a “little flock” mentioned by Jesus which is different from the “other sheep” or simply the “great crowd”.

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is
pleased to give you the Kingdom.”
Luke 12:32, TEV

Using the words “little flock” and “great crowd” in the Bible would really give two different meanings. The word “little” would mean a small number of a population compare with the word “great crowd”. A small flock could only have 30 in persons and a great crowd could have 1000 in persons, right? This would tell us the difference of the two. The latter word shows it is more than the preceding word. However, in the Bible it says that the “great crowd” is cannot be counted by anyone. Therefore, it is really big in number. Now, considering the fact that both of them would be in heaven would contradict other verses from the Bible such as in Proverbs 2: 21, 22 of TEV which states “Righteous people – people of integrity – will live in this land of ours. But God will snatch the wicked from the land and pull sinners out of it like plants from the ground.” And also in the Psalms 37:29 “The righteous will possess the land and live in it forever.”

This only means that there are two kinds of body that would acquire by God’s people who would be on his kingdom in heaven and the other one on earth.

35“Someone will ask, ‘How can the dead be raised to life? What kind of
body will they have? 40And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; the beauty that belongs to heavenly bodies is different from the beauty
that belongs to earthly bodies.

1 Corinthians 15:35, 40, TEV

The “great crowd” who came out from terrible persecution is written in Revelation 7:9, 10, 13 – 15 : 9 “After this I looked, and there was an enormous crowd – no one could count the people! They were from every race, tribe, nation, and language, and they stood in front of the throne and of the Lamb, dressed in white robes and holding palm branches in their hands. 10They called out in a loud voice : ‘Salvation comes from our God, who sits on the throne, and from the Lamb!’ ” 13One of the elders asked me, ‘Who are these people dressed in white robes, and where do they come from?’ 14‘I don’t know, sir. You do,’ I answered. He said to me, ‘These are the people who have come safely through the terrible persecution. They have washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the Lamb. 15That is why they stand before God’s throne and serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will protect them with his presence.’ ”

Perhaps others would think that the “great crowd” would really be in heaven too because of highlighted terms. Are these literal that they would be in heaven? If this is the case then, again it will contradict the verses from the preceding paragraph that good people will possess the earth and that there are two kinds of bodies in resurrection – heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. So in what sense they are in front of the Lamb and of Jehovah. Describing them as “they stood in front of the throne and of the Lamb” would not tell that they are in a particular place. The word “in front of the throne” (Greek, en’opion tou thro’nou; in literal meanings is “sa abot-tanaw ng trono”.(in sight of the throne) would not require them to be literally in heaven. Instead their situation is from a distant sight of Jehovah God, which tells from in heaven, God watches over the people on earth. Consider these verses:
“With a solemn oath to our ancestor Abraham he promised to rescue us
from our enemies, and allow us to serve him without fear, so
that we might be holy and righteous before him all the days
of our life.” – Luke 1:74, 75, TEV

“And so I sent for you at once, and you have been good enough to come.
Now we are all here in the presence of God, waiting to hear anything

that the Lord has instructed you to say.”
Acts 10:33, TEV

Other verses that uses the Greek word “enopion” which translated as “before”or in front of ” in many Bible versions has a literal meaning of ”in sight”‘.This Greek word was used in 1Timothy 5:21; 2 Timothy 2:14; Romans 14:22; Galatians 1:20 of the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.

This clearly states that the Greek word “enopion” doesn’t mean they are really in front of Jehovah and Jesus, as “enopion” was translated in the same meaning as “in the eyes of/in the presence of/before” in other verses.

Who and where would the 144, 000 people come from?

“They sang a new song:
‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to break open its seals.
For you were killed, and by your sacrificial death you
bought for God people from every tribe, language, nation,
and race.
You have made them a kingdom of priests to serve our God,
and they shall rule on earth.’ ”
Revelation 5:9, 10, TEV

“Then I looked, and there was the Lamb standing on Mount Zion;
with him were 144, 000 people who have his name and his
Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from
heaven that sounded like a roaring waterfall, like a loud peal of
thunder. It sounded like the music made by musicians playing
their harps. The 144, 000 people stood before the throne, the four living
creatures, and the elders; they were singing a new song, which only
they could learn. Of the whole human race they are the only ones
who have been redeemed.”
Revelation 14: 1 – 3, TEV

Who are the 144, 000 sons of Israel?

“And I was told that the number of those who were marked with
God’s seal on their foreheads was 144, 000. They were
from the twelve tribes of Israel, twelve thousand from each
tribe: Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Napthali, Manasseh, Simeon,
Levi, Isaachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin.”
Revelation 7: 4 – 8, TEV

Are these literal sons of Israel (Jacob) or really Jews?

Israel was a new name of Jacob given to him by God. And God
promised him that he will be ancestors of kings and nations will
be descended from him.

“When Jacob returned from Mesopotamia, God appeared
to him again and blessed him. God said to him, ‘Your name
is Jacob, but from now on it will be Israel. And God said to him,
“I am Almighty God. Have many children. Nations will be descended
from you, and you will be ancestors of kings.

Genesis 35:9 – 11, TEV

These promised kings in the said verse are literal. It was started from the line of David. It ends with Zedekiah.

So who are now the kings mention in Revelation will rule on earth? If you will try to read Numbers 1:14 – 16, you can find out there that Levi was not included in the registration of the tribe. The reasons can be found in Numbers 1: 47 – 52.

The Levites were not registered with the other tribes, because the LORD had said to Moses, ‘When you take a census of the men fit for military
service, do not include the tribe of Levi. Instead, put the Levites in
charge of the Tent of my presence and all its equipment. They shall
carry it and its equipment, serve in it, and set up their camp around it.
Whenever you move your camp, the Levites shall take the Tent down
and set it up again at each new campsite. Anyone else who comes near
the Tent shall be put to death. The rest of the Israelites shall set up camp,
company by company, each man with his own group and under his own
banner. But the Levites shall camp around the Tent to guard it, so that no one may come near and cause my anger to strike the community of
Israel.” – Numbers 1: 47 – 52, TEV

Therefore, it is not proper to claim that these are literal offspring of Israel. And also Manasseh (in which the name appeared in Revelation 7: 4 – 8 was not a son of Israel). Manasseh was a son of Joseph, who was a son of Israel.

“Before the years of famine came, Joseph had two sons by Asenath. He said,
‘God has made me forget all my sufferings and all my father’s family’, so he named his first son Manasseh.” – Genesis 41:51, TEV

Who are the real sons of Israel (Jacob)?

“Jacob had twelve sons: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.”
– 1 Chronicles 2:1, TEV

What would the 144, 000 or sons of Israel do and where would they be?

They will become priests of God Jehovah and of Jesus. They will rule with Jesus for a thousand years.

DANIEL 7:27 “‘And the kingdom and the rulership and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens were given to the people who are the holy ones of the Supreme One. Their kingdom is an indefinitely lasting kingdom, and all the rulerships will serve and obey even them.’ – NWT

27‘Then the (A)sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest OneHis kingdom? will be an (B)everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will (C)serve and obeyHim?.’ – NASB?

“Happy and greatly blessed are those who are included in this first raising of the dead. The second death has no power over them; they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they will rule with him for a thousand years.” Revelations 20:6, TEV

(See also Revelations 14:1 – 3 above)

Those verses have proved that the 144, 000 would be in heaven. Remember the prayer of Jesus which was written in Matthew 6:10. This tells us that the peace and order in heaven would also be on earth. The will of God in heaven will also be on earth as Jesus prayed for it. Therefore there are two places that God’s people would dwell in – in heaven and on earth. Also the Israel of God (144, 000) will also judge the people of the world during 1000 years that is why they will become kings that will rule over the earth under Christ millennial reign.

“Don’t you know that God’s people will judge the world?
Well, then, if you are to judge the world, aren’t you capable of judging small matters?” – 1 Corinthians 6:2, TEV

After 1000 years of Satan’s imprisonment, he will be freed together with his demons and they will try to deceive all the nations to gather them for a battle against Jehovah. Then the final judgment will come. I used the word “during” because on this time, after the Armageddon had happened and the time onwards, people who were saved from Armageddon or have resurrected will be judged according to their ways of life – whether they will allow to continue to live more until 1000 years or not and live forever on earth after the final test. The supporting verse can be found in Isaiah 65:20. Note: preceding and the following verses of this verse should be read.

“Babies will no longer die in infancy, and all people will live out
their life span. Those who live to be a hundred will be considered
young. To die before that would be a sign that I had punished them.” – Isaiah 65:20, TEV

20 “No more will there come to be a suckling a few days old from that place, neither an old man that does not fulfill his days; for one will die as a mere boy, although a hundred years of age; and as for the sinner, although a hundred years of age he will have evil called down upon him. – NWT

Why Jehovah’s Witnesses claimed that the 144, 000 are the Israel of God?

Jehovah’s Witnesses claimed that the 144, 000 sons of Israel are the Israel of God which does not stand to all God’s people but a little flock separated from the great crowd that will be saved from Armageddon. Do they have basis for that? Yes they have. In Galatians 6:16 of New World Translations it says:

“And all those who will walk orderly by this rule of conduct, upon them be peace and mercy, even upon the Israel of God.

These words show that there are two groups talking about, because if not, the Bible would not point out the “Israel of God”. In Good News Bible Today’s English Version (TEV), it is not stated there the words “Israel of God” but rather “God’s people.” However, it doesn’t mean that the two words are acting as a one group.

“As for those who follow this rule in their lives, may peace and mercy be with them – with them and with all God’s people.
Galatians 6:16, TEV

Now, in this written grammar, it can have two meanings. One is that there are two groups being discussed and the other one could have only one group. Some would say this would refer to a single group for those who would be saved could also be called “God’s people”. Translating the “Israel of God” into “God’s people” would seem refer to a single group. If in this case, it will contradict other verses such as in 1 Peter 2:9, TEV: “But you are the chosen race, the King’s priests, holy nation, God’s own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who have called you out of darkness into his own marvelous light.”

It stated the word “priests”. Would you think all that would be saved would become priests? No. The King’s priests are only the 144, 000 sons of Israel who would be in heaven. And “Israel” in a figurative word is fit to be called a Holy Nation. (See Revelation 5:9, 10 and Revelation 14: 1 – 3 above)

Now, let’s discuss the “flock” and “the other sheep” which was written in John.

“There are other sheep which belong to me that are not in this sheep pen.I must bring them, too; they will listen to my voice, and they will
become one flock with one shepherd.”
John 10:16, TEV

Jesus here talked about the sheep. The first sheep which he mentioned are his apostles whom he was talking to at that time and also those who has heavenly calls (144, 000) and the “other sheep” that do not belong to that sheep pen is none other than the “great crowd”. What are the characteristics of a sheep? We know that these are obedient and meek, right? So, we are certainly sure that these are the good people that follows Jehovah and Christ and not those people from the false religions that in due time will be converted and will belong to the sheep pen. Jesus said the first sentence in present time. They are sheep already not will become sheep. Jesus did not emphasize the ones from the false religions that would become his sheep but rather he pointed out them as his own sheep already that would become another flock. If other religions would say that the “other sheep” are those who will be brought in into their church, then it would not be proper to write in the Bible the words “they will become one flock”. For it would mean there is another flock separated from the original flock. If the “other sheep” that they are telling are the ones from the false religion that will be converted, well the correct words that should be used are “They will be on my sheep pen.” I might agreed on them if the grammar in the Bible is written as this: “There are other sheep which belong to me that are not yet on this sheep pen…They will be my flock too with one shepherd.”

Now it is clear that there are two groups of sheep. One is the Israel of God (the 144, 000 sons of Israel or the little flock) and the other is the “other sheep” or the “great crowd”. Here is another proof that Israel of God has a total specific number:

“There is a secret truth, my friends, which I want you to know,
for it will keep you from thinking how wise you are. It is that the stubbornness of the people of Israel is not permanent, but will last only until the complete number of Gentiles comes to God. And this is how all “Israel” will be saved. – Romans 11:25

“I am not saying that the promise of God has failed; for not
all the people of Israel are the people of God.

Romans 9:6, TEV

This shows that the wickedness of the real Israel would not last forever but will end up when the complete number of Gentiles (not Jews) come to God, that is the total number of 144,000 redeemed from all the human races have already been fulfilled. We can see in Romans 11:25 that the Israel of God will be completed first before Armageddon comes to earth. When the 144,000 is fulfilled already the Armageddon is about to come very soon.

Let us study Hebrews 11:39 – 40.

39 And yet all these, although they had witness borne to them through their faith, did not get the [fulfillment of the] promise40 as God foresaw something better for us, in order that they might not be made perfect apart from us. – NWT

All God’s people in the book of Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) have faith in God but they did not receive the promised of God. It is because in verse 40 it says that those 144,000 who are spoken about implicitly in the said verse will be the ones who will make the other people to be holy, blessed and live on earth. How would this be happened? It is because the 144,000 who bought from the whole race of human and was started from the time of apostles of Jesus until to the faithful and discreet slaves of Jesus on these last days and the other remnants of the 144,000 will be helping the people on earth be blessed and become holy. This is true since the other seed of Abraham belongs to the seed of Abraham who is Jesus Christ who will bless the people on earth – Acts 3:25; Galatians 3:29. However, not all born of flesh are sons of God but those who are sons through a promise are really seeds of Abraham and sons of God – Romans 9:7 – 8; Romans 8:17.

2 Timothy 1:9  He saved us and called us with a holy calling, not by reason of our works, but by reason of his own purpose and undeserved kindness.

What is this purpose which is also mention in some verses in the bible? That is to give enlightenment about the word of God to many people and to be priests of God and Jesus in heaven.

Please see this link below.

John 10:16 “And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also I must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd. – NWT

John 10:16 “I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. – NASB

It is clear from the words of Jesus that he has people who doesn’t belong to his fold or pen. When Jesus spoke these terms he was talking to his apostles at that time. He said he will bring them [the other sheep] too and they will become one flock. So definitely, on the time he is saying it he meant that there are other sheep (other Christians on that time) which do not belong on that fold. His words “not on this fold” literally means that there are other sheep (Christians) not on a particular fold (the little flock) because he said “they will become one flock” – meaning separated from the little flock he mentioned first. That is really true because he said that only little flock will be on heaven. If one will say that these other sheep are not yet the ones in the congregation of God and that will be in that flock at proper time then it violates the statement that they will become one flock and separated from the little flock. In order to say that this means the people outside the congregation of God that will be on the flock then the writing must written it as “they will be on flock” or “they will be on the same flock”. We could really understand the word as while there are sheep which belongs to the little flock, there are also other sheep that belongs to another fold which will become one flock because if there are another flock mention then it would mean also that the little flock (which are also Christians) is separated from another flock that will become one flock. And so there are two groups of Christians that becomes two flocks and two folds and that violates the teachings of the other religions. If the little flock is in one fold and the other sheep is said not to be on that fold and that they will become one flock not on the flock mention first then obviously they are not inside the fold of the flock mention first but of another flock. That is why those who are in another fold were mentioned as the “great crowd” in Revelation which their hope is to live eternally on earth and not in heaven.

Luke 12:32 “Have no fear, little flock, because YOUR Father has approved of giving YOU the kingdom.”

Is this only applied to early Christians before? Let us study the verse below.

Luke 22:2″The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 14 For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Is this refers to all the people on earth that is invited on the time of Jesus up to this date and few have chosen to be saved? No. Verse 14 shows the word “many” not “all” so definitely it is not all the people on earth. “Many” is different from “all”. Would Jehovah call only some people to be saved? Of course not. What is the proof that Jehovah not only chooses many but all to be saved?

1 Timothy 2: 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. – TNIV

And if all people (the Christians after Jesus unto Armageddon) who will be saved on Armageddon will live on heaven then the word of God will become false. And those are in the following verses:

Proverbs 2:21,22

21For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. – KJV

Isaiah 24: 5The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.6Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. – KJV

Isaiah 24:13-16

13When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
14They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
15Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.
16From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

The verses show that after the great tribulation comes then that would be the time for the harvest and many people around the world will sing and praise for joy in the name of Jehovah.

The Scriptures clearly states that the will of Jehovah is to let all be saved. And it is through his son, Jesus Christ.

John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. – NWT

John 17:3 “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” – NWT

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. – NIV

This means those people who will go to heaven will have no way come to the Father except through Jesus. That’s why 144,000 started from the time of Jesus until Armageddon.

What is the proof that there are two groups of sheep mentioned by Jesus?

Revelation 14:1 And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound out of heaven as the sound of many waters and as the sound of loud thunder; and the sound that I heard was as of singers who accompany themselves on the harp playing on their harps. 3 And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth. – NWT

Revelation 5: 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Revelation 5:9 And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.” – NWT

Notice those bought persons for God out of all nations will become kings and they will rule over the earth. We can see they are the ONES WHO WILL RULE OVER THE EARTH. That is why after the Great Tribulation comes, the “great crowd” who will come out from the great tribulation will have to undergo for a test until 1000 years is over and the FINAL TEST through Satan and his demons.

We see now that the small flock whom Jesus told is the 144,000 redeemed from all the human races in the world. How are we going to know now that those who will be on heaven are only 144,000? It is because the other sheep was not counted. He did not define the total number of people that will be saved.

Revelation 7:9, 10, 13 – 15: 9 “After this I looked, and there was an enormous crowd – no one could count the people!

Is this mean they would literally be on heaven? No. Acts 10:33; 1 timothy 5:21; 2 Timothy 2:14 show the word “before God”. The Greek word ”enopion” that is used here on these verses literall means ”in sight”, but it doesn’t mean it is literally in front of God. A lot of verses in Hebrew Scriptures used the same word. Some examples are below:

Exodus 28:30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually. – KJV

Numbers 16:16 Moses said to Korah, “You and all your company be present before the LORD tomorrow, both you and they along with Aaron. 17″Each of you take his firepan and put incense on it, and each of you bring his censer before the LORD, two hundred and fifty firepans; also you and Aaron shall each bring his firepan.” – NASB

Some religious leaders say that 144,000 is symbolical and not a literal number that is saying that all Christians who are righteous will be on heaven. That is from the time of Christ up to the day of Armageddon. And those who will be saved will be on heaven and those who lived before Jesus Christ will live on earth. Let us see first the proof that those only who come during Jesus’ time as man until today are the one who will be on heaven.

John 3:3 In answer Jesus said to him: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nic·o·de´mus said to him: “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter into the womb of his mother a second time and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Obviously, born from water means baptism in water and born from spirit means born from God as someone who is anointed to become priest of God and Jesus in heaven. And this only started on the time of Jesus as man and first practiced by John the Baptizer. There is no evidence in the Hebrew Scriptures that practiced baptism in water. Baptism in water means dipping the whole body in water. Thus those people that will be on heaven were from Jesus’ time until Armageddon and who were baptized in water and in Spirit of God. The people who live before the New Testament (Christian Greek Scriptures) will not be in heaven. Another verse is this:

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. – NASB

In the verse above it shows that to become children of God he must received first Jesus. And only Jesus has the way for someone to be called children of God. That is why in John 14:6, he said that no one will ever come to his Father except through him. How can the people before in the New Testament will come to the Father if they did not got a chance to know Jesus Christ? Also in this verse people will not come to existence without the will of God. That born is in physical – born of a woman or by blood and flesh. But the word “born of God” signifies a different thing to children of God. Who are those born of God? A verse from the Bible identifies them clearly.

Romans 9:10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. – KJV

Romans 9:16 So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. – NASB

Romans 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose [emphasize pls]. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. – TNIV Please emphasize the italicized and underlined word above.

Now what does predestined mean? As far as I know it is a define place or destiny of your life which in the end you will be there because someone define it for you. Would this mean all called people will be on heaven whether they continue to be bad until their death? Definitely it is not. Is this a force for someone to be in heaven? No. It is an invitation for those selected people and has defined their destiny to be in heaven if and only if they accept the invitation and follow the will of Jehovah. So why they are predestine? It is because when they resurrected they will not be subjected to another death but will live eternally in heaven unlike with those resurrected after Armageddon who will have to prove themselves until 1000 years is over in order to surpass the second death and have eternal life.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; – KJV

Now let us know about the 144,000. Actually, Jesus discussed them through an illustration. Let us quote it from the Holy Scriptures.

The Parable of the Wedding Banquet

Matthew 22:1 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2″The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

4″Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

5″But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

8″Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

11″But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12′Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless.

13″Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14″For many are invited, but few are chosen.” – NIV

Let us discuss the parable mentioned by Jesus. He said that the Kingdom of God (literally in heaven) is like a wedding banquet for his son. Many people are invited but only few are chosen. Verse 5 shows that people who are invited were refused to come and continued to their own works. So the master killed them. Verse 9 says that the master commanded the servants (The Jehovah’s Witnesses) to invite again people both wicked and good and come for the wedding banquet of his son. These people accepted the invitation and this invitation is to know or take knowledge about Jehovah and Jesus [John 17;3]. But there was a man in verse 11 that is invited but not properly clothed. He was not wearing a wedding suit. That is why he was sent out in the darkness. That was his punishment. What does the wedding suit imply? We know that the common dress for wedding ceremony is white and that symbolize purity and cleanliness. So definitely those wicked that were invited have wore the proper suit even not as white but at least wedding suit which means they dressed up themselves properly according to the right suit. From being wicked they changed themselves to be good and holy. Unlike the man, who was invited, he did not wear a proper suit for the wedding ceremony. Thus, he replied for the invitation yet he did not change himself into the requirement of God. So the kingdom of God is like that, many are invited but few are chosen. Those only who will follow the will of Jehovah may have the chance to be chosen to be in heaven the others not chosen will live on earth. So, definitely not all people are invited to the kingdom of God (literally in heaven) but only few among the people. Those who are invited on the wedding ceremony yet reject the invitation will be destroyed also as well as those who accepted the invitation yet ignored the will of God – that is  to follow the will of Jehovah.

The Kingdom of God is just like with the wedding feast. There is a king who is preparing for a wedding feast for his son. The King is Jehovah and his son is Jesus Christ. The kingdom of God is the heavenly kingdom. Many people are invited to attend of the wedding of his son both good and wicked. However, there was a man who did not wear a wedding suit, thus he did not change his clothes and wear a proper suit which symbolize his new personality according to the will of God. He was thrown in the darkness outside and punished. It is true in the bible that people must seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33) just as in the way Jehovah’s Witnesses are calling every people to come to know the truth. Many people (the Jehovah’s Witnesses) are invited and and have seek the kingdom of God (the truth about Jehovah and the good news of kingdom) yet few (144,000) are chosen to be part on that Heavenly Kingdom. Not all got the chance to know about the Word of God but many people have accepted the invitation of God and have come to know the truth and are enjoying the blessings of God made for them but only the limited number of 144,000 are the ones who will inherit the kingdom of God in heaven and the other righteous people will inherit the earth which is the extension of God’s kingdom from heaven.

The proof that Jehovah chosen a total number of 144,000 to be His priests and of Jesus is from John 17:2.

John 17:2 according as you have given him authority over all flesh, that, as regards the whole [number] whom you have given him, he may give them everlasting life.

Take note what Jesus said. He said that he may give everlasting life to all people but the other people which belongs to the great crowd will have eternal life will also be possible through the the whole number (the 144,000) given by Jehovah to Jesus. Thus, in this sentence, Jesus identifies the 144,000 who will reign also on his reigning to rule over the earth for the benefits of the great crowd and those who will be resurrected after Armageddon. This is the purpose of God to be fulfilled by the 144,000.

A good verse from the Bible that would prove that there are heavenly people and earthly people that Jehovah will make.

1 Corinthians 15:35 But someone may ask, How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?

38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.

40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. – NIV

Is Paul referring to present things? No. He is answering the question of what kind of body does men will have in resurrection. Of course Paul will give an exact answer. He will not lead his answer in other direction. He’s answer was straight to the point. And it is true in all the previous verses mentioned above. Please see the link below for additional discussion about 144,000.
