SOME COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT THE TRUTH

SOME COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS OF OTHER RELIGIONS

The purpose of this writing is to show the common misconception of many people about the truth. I did not indicate the name of religions because it speaks of the general but perhaps as you may read you may be able to find to whom people it speaks the misconception of the teachings of those religions.

JESUS IS GOD?

There is no writing in the Bible that speaks Jesus as God coequal with the Father. John 1:1 speaks of the Word who is a “god” and not as the God.

Proverbs 8:12 – 32 speaks of the Wisdom which is the personification of Jesus. In verse 22 Wisdom was said to be created or founded. He is the first of God’s works. Jesus was made in the very beginning, at the first before the world began. Verse 30 and 31 mentioned that he was like an architect or master worker or a craftsman and he was beside Jehovah God. Wisdom of God is not created. It was in him from the eternity as he exist eternity. See for his eternal qualities at Psalms 90:2 wherein one of his qualities that he possesses from eternal is his wisdom. See Revelation 3:15 in which Jesus was called the very beginning of the creation of God or the origin of all God’s creation (TEV). Here we can clearly see and understand plainly that Jesus was the firstborn of all creation (first created who belongs to the class of creation and preeminent to all creation of God) – Colossians 1:15.

For further proof of Jesus is not God but “a god”, please see the links below.

JEHOVAH IS NOT THE NAME OF GOD?

Many people of the so-called Christianity speaks that Jehovah is not the name of God. However, many Bible versions not only NWT writes the name of God as Jehovah. Please see the link here (https://fromthesunrising.wordpress.com/2010/09/26/the-divine-name). In King James Version (original) you can see that Jehovah is the name of God in Psalms 83:18 and in Psalms 68:4 it has a short form of his name as Jah (Yh in Hebrew) which is coined word of the praising word “hallelujah” in the book of Revelation. If Jehovah is not the name of God, then what name it should be given to him when Romans 10:13 requires by God to call him upon his name? Some people say that it is the Lord Jesus Christ. Again, the Trinity have proven faulty based on above and the links above so is it really Jesus Christ who is separated from Jehovah? No. This quote of Paul was taken from Joel 2:32. Why is TEV like that? It is so far with the exact translation? Sounds being biased again with their doctrine, aren’t they? Here is interlinear bible of the said verse: (http://www.interlinearbible.org/joel/2.htm) Notice verse 31 it says that before the Great Day of God has come or the Armageddon, there are still signs to be seen and that in verse 32 that whoever CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED. Who is the one spoken about that? It is none other than Jehovah, the God Almighty. Thus, it is require for the people to call the name of God in order to have salvation in the coming Great Day of Jehovah. So, does the name of God require us to have salvation? If Jehovah (YHWH or JHVH) is not correct then what name should we call upon to have salvation which is a requirement of God? Read Isaiah 40:26; Psalms 147:4 wherein the names are important to Jehovah that even stars he had given names and he call all of them according to their names. Acts 15:14 speaks of the people called for the name of Jehovah. Is it for only first Christians before? No. These also refer to the modern Christians today. You can read Isaiah 43:5 – 10. Verse 5 speaks that the witnesses of God will be from the east unto the west thus it includes the entire earth. Read Mark 13:10 in which it speaks that it is needed first to preach the good news to all nations. Verse 7 speaks again of those who call upon the name of God. Who are those people who call the name of God that teaches true word of God?

Psalms 33:12 NWT

JESUS IS ONLY A MAN?

Some people believe that Jesus is only a man or a prophet of God who has no pre-existence. Is he really a man? Or was he came from heaven and identified as the Son of God? The following are proofs that show that he has pre-existence in heaven.

Micah/Mikas 5:2

The one spoken about here is Jesus who was born in Ephrath or Bethlehem. Jesus was said to come from the beginning or indefinite time.

John 1:14

The Word was said to became a flesh (a man) that is Jesus became human when he came on earth in which in John 1:1,2 he was identified as the one who is with God.

John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.

John 10:36 do YOU say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son? 37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not believe me.

1 Corinthians 15:45 – 47

45 It is even so written: “The first man Adam became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46Nevertheless, the first is, not that which is spiritual, but that which is physical, afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is out of the earth and made of dust; the second man is out of heaven.

John 3:13 Moreover, no man has ascended into heaven but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man.

John 6:38 because I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him that sent me.

John 6:62 62 What, therefore, if YOU should behold the Son of man ascending to where he was before?

ALL RIGHTEOUS WILL BE ON HEAVEN?

Many religions in Christendom believe that the righteous people will live in heaven and does not believe on a paradise earth. Some people believe that the paradise is in heaven and others believe that there is a literal new earth. Are these teaching really uphold the truth?

In Corinthians 15:35 – 50 speaks of resurrection. Verse 35 questions of what kind of body will the resurrected will have. Paul gave a firm answer in verse 38 and 40 to which he mentioned that there is a kind of heavenly bodies and there is a kind of earthly bodies. Verse 50 speaks of resurrection who will be on heaven and those are the ones who must die first (verse 43 – 44) since resurrected for heaven will become spiritual being in relation to Colossians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 15:49; Romans 8:29, here resurrected people will have the image of Christ just as he died they will also die and resurrected in order Jesus to be called the firstborn of all the brothers (in heaven). Jesus is also the firstborn from among the dead who became spiritual being. The same would happen with those who have heavenly hope. They will die and be resurrected as spiritual beings. Now what shows that they are special ones? The next paragraph talks about those who have earthly hope. There is no resurrection for heaven that discusses resurrection for heaven but there is one in Psalms 68:18 which states, 18 “You have ascended on high;
You have carried away captives;
You have taken gifts in the form of men,
Yes, even the stubborn ones, to reside [among them], O Jah God.

The one ascended on high and have taken men to live on heaven is none other than Jesus for he is the one who revealed the purpose of God in those who will live on heaven. It is identified as Jesus in Ephesians 4:8 – 10 which states, 8 Wherefore he says: “When he ascended on high he carried away captives; he gave gifts [in] men.” 9 Now the expression “he ascended,” what does it mean but that he also descended into the lower regions, that is, the earth? 10 The very one that descended is also the one that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might give fullness to all things.

EARTH WILL BE RESTORED

Proverbs/Kawikaan 2:21, 22

21 For the upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it22 As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.

It says the upright and blameless ones are the ones who will remain on earth. They are the ones who will remain in the land (still on earth).

Psalms/Awit 37:9, 11

9 For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

It says the meek ones will inherit the earth.

Psalms/Awit 104:5  He has founded the earth upon its established places;
It will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever.

It says that earth will remain forever.

Genesis 13:15 because all the land at which you are looking, to you and to your seed I am going to give it until time indefinite.

Genesis 48:4 And he went on to say to me, ‘Here I am making you fruitful, and I will make you many and I will transform you into a congregation of peoples and I will give this land to your seed after you for a possession to time indefinite.’

Ezekiel 37:25 And they will actually dwell upon the land that I gave to my servant, to Jacob, in which YOUR forefathers dwelt, and they will actually dwell upon it, they and their sons and their sons’ sons to time indefinite, and David my servant will be their chieftain to time indefinite.

Joel 3;19, 20

But as for Judah, to time indefinite it will be inhabited, and Jerusalem to generation after generation. 21 And I will consider innocent their blood that I had not considered innocent; and Jehovah will be residing in Zion.”

Matthew 5:5  “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

Isaiah 24:6 That is why the curse itself has eaten up the land, and those inhabiting it are held guilty. That is why the inhabitants of the land have decreased in number, and very few mortal men have remained over.

Isaiah 24:13 – 16

13 For thus it will become in the midst of the land, in among the peoples, like the beating off of the olive tree, like the gleaning when the grape gathering has come to an end. 14 They themselves will raise their voice, they will cry out joyfully. In the superiority of Jehovah they will certainly cry out shrilly from the sea. 15 That is why in the region of light they must glorify Jehovah, in the islands of the sea the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel. 16 From the extremity of the land there are melodies that we have heard: “Decoration to the Righteous One!”

LITERAL HELL OF FIRE and IMMORTAL SOUL?

Please see the link below.

https://fromthesunrising.wordpress.com/2010/10/28/the-truth-about-soul-and-hell/

Genesis 2:7 7 And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.

Ezekiel 18:4, 20

4 Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.

20 The soul that is sinning—it itself will die. A son himself will bear nothing because of the error of the father, and a father himself will bear nothing because of the error of the son. Upon his own self the very righteousness of the righteous one will come to be, and upon his own self the very wickedness of a wicked one will come to be.

The interlinear for these verses are below. Please look the Strong’s number for the Hebrew word in verse 20 of the word person which is also soul.

James 5:20 know that he who turns a sinner back from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

http://www.interlinearbible.org/james/5.htm Thus, the soul is subject to death when someone is wicked.

IMAGES AND IDOLS

Exodus 20:4,5

4 “You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me;

Deuteronomy 5:8, 9

8 “‘You must not make for yourself a carved image, any form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 9 You must not bow down to them or be led to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons and upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me;

Isaiah 42:8 “I am Jehovah. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory, neither my praise to graven images.

Psalms 115:4 – 8

4 Their idols are silver and gold,
The work of the hands of earthling man.

5 A mouth they have, but they cannot speak;
Eyes they have, but they cannot see;

6 Ears they have, but they cannot hear.
A nose they have, but they cannot smell.

7 Hands are theirs, but they cannot feel.
Feet are theirs, but they cannot walk;
They utter no sound with their throat.

8 Those making them will become just like them,
All those who are trusting in them
.

We can see that those who are making those images will be just like them what more with those who use them for worshiping.

The Book of Mormon Compared with the Bible

The Book of Mormon and The Bible-Which one is True?

TO MEMBERS of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints The Book of Mormon is the word of God and is considered to be in complete harmony with the Bible. Their view was concisely expressed by Brigham Young in Journal of Discourses of July 13, 1862: “The Book of Mormon in no case contradicts the Bible. It has many words like those in the Bible, and as a whole is a strong witness to the Bible.” Mormons with this firm confidence in The Book of Mormon should not object when others compare their book with the Bible. Their publicly expressed conviction that it is truthful is an invitation to others to make such a comparison. But first let us briefly compare the backgrounds of these two books.

The writing of the Bible was done over a period of more than 1600 years, and much of its historical narrative has been confirmed by many archaeological findings as well as by secular historians of different periods of time. Thousands of manuscript copies of the Bible in the original languages that date back close to the days of the apostles exist today. These are available for examination by all language scholars.

The claim made for The Book of Mormon is that it covers a period from about 600 B.C. to about A.D. 421. Joseph Smith claimed that he translated it from golden plates that he found in a hiding place revealed to him by an angel. The reason why the plates or copies of the text on them are not available for examination is explained by saying that the angel had forbidden Joseph Smith to show them to anyone except those designated by the angel. After the translating work was done the angel is said to have taken them away.

The mass of archaeological data and the secular records that confirm the accuracy of Biblical history is conspicuously absent with regard to what is claimed to be historical narrative in The Book of Mormon. Nor is the deep secrecy that surrounded the writing of The Book of Mormon characteristic of the production of the Bible. The stone tablets upon which God wrote the Law were neither taken back by an angel nor was Moses forbidden to display them. The same can be said for the other writings that make up the Bible. They were openly displayed and copies distributed far and wide.

THE SUPREME BEING

If The Book of Mormon contains the word of God, its doctrines should be in harmony with the Bible. Let us see if this is so regarding what it says about God. Concerning him Mosiah 3:5 states: “For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power, the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles.” Here we find reflected the popular trinity doctrine of the churches of Christendom, which churches Joseph Smith considered to be wrong.

Consider a few more examples and note how The Book of Mormon boldly asserts that God and Christ are one God. Alma 11:38, 39 says: “Now Zeezrom saith again unto him: Is the Son of God the very Eternal Father? And Amulek said unto him: Yea, he is the very Eternal Father of heaven and of earth.” Mormon 7:7 speaks about singing praises “unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of happiness which hath no end.” The Book of Mormon has Jesus Christ flatly saying, at 3 Nephi 11:14, “I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.”

Nowhere does the Bible make such Trinitarian statements. At no time did Jesus Christ claim to be the “God of the whole earth” or the “God of Israel.” On this point The Book of Mormon contradicts the Bible. Instead of saying that the Father and the Son are one God, the Bible reveals the Son to be a creature who was the beginning of the Creator’s creations and who is subject to the Father even after his ascension to heaven. This is shown at 1 Corinthians 15:28, “But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.”

Rather than claiming to be God in the flesh, Jesus Christ pointed out his dependence upon the Father and his inferiority to him by saying: “I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.”—John 5:30.

Frequently the Hebrew text of the Bible refers to the great Source of life as Elohim. The trinity doctrine is not proved by the fact that this word is in the plural form. It is applied not only to the true God but also to the pagan god Dagon, as at Judges 16:23, 24. When referring to the Father, who is identified in the Bible by the proper name Jehovah, the definite article ha is often used before Elohim. Instead of indicating a plurality of gods or persons in one God, it means the plural number of majesty or excellence, as with the royal “we.”

JESUS CHRIST

A number of books in The Book of Mormon are dated before the coming of Christ, but they repeatedly talk about Jesus Christ, his sin-atoning sacrifice, his resurrection, his baptism in water, the baptism by the holy spirit, the salvation of man through Christ and the need of exercising faith in him in order to be saved. These things are mentioned with the great frequency that marks literary works produced after Jesus was killed and resurrected. Such statements about him become anachronisms in the time setting given them by The Book of Mormon. Being out of time-order, they conflict with the Bible, which places similar statements after Christ, not before his coming.

As might be expected when events are talked about out of time-order, The Book of Mormon occasionally slips and refers to them in the past tense instead of in the future tense. At 2 Nephi 31:6, 8 this is done. Speaking of Jesus Christ, these verses state: “Now, I would ask of you, my beloved brethren, wherein the Lamb of God did fulfil all righteousness in being baptized by water? Wherefore, after he was baptized with water the Holy Ghost descended upon him in the form of a dove.” These verses are assigned a date between 559 B.C. and 545 B.C. The same thing is done at 2 Nephi 33:6: “I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell.” How can a person supposedly living long before Christ made his sacrifice say that Christ had redeemed him?

About 124 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, The Book of Mormon has people crying out: “O have mercy, and apply the atoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be purified; for we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who created heaven and earth, and all things; who shall come down among the children of men.” (Mosiah 4:2) How can a people cry for forgiveness of sins by the atoning blood of Christ long before that blood was shed and at a time when God’s people were required to rely upon the animal sacrifices of the Law for atonement of sins?

Why do none of the Hebrew Bible writers talk about Jesus Christ, his sin-atoning sacrifice and resurrection as The Book of Mormon does? Did God reveal these vitally important things to people living in North America at that time and not to these beloved Hebrew servants of his? Mosiah 3:13 says: “The Lord God hath sent his holy prophets among all the children of men, to declare these things to every kindred, nation, and tongue, that thereby whosoever should believe that Christ should come, the same might receive remission of their sins.” Why, then, did not the prophets living prior to 124 B.C., when Mosiah was supposed to have been written, mention these things in their inspired writings?

It would be wholly incredible to claim that the Bible text as we have it today is so defective because of copyist errors that not one reference to Jesus Christ by name and to his sacrifice was left in the copious writings of the Hebrew Scriptures. If such references had ever existed, surely the writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures would have mentioned them. Rather than being grossly defective, the Biblical text as we have it today has been refined by comparison with very old manuscripts to the point where it is very accurate, little different from what the apostles had. What is subject to suspicion is not the accuracy of the Bible but the accuracy of The Book of Mormon.

Notwithstanding the fact that the Greek word biblía, from which we get the word Bible, was not used as a title for the Scriptures until the fifth century after Christ, The Book of Mormon has the term being used more than 500 years before Christ. It says at 2 Nephi 29:3, 10, “Many of the Gentiles shall say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible. Wherefore, because that ye have a Bible ye need not suppose that it contains all my words.” The term Bible, or biblía, means “books” or “booklets” and is applied to the collection of inspired writings that are bound in codex form, that is with leaves and covers. No such collection existed when 2 Nephi was supposed to have been written. Here, then, is another inconsistency on the part of The Book of Mormon.

BIBLICAL QUOTES AND EXPRESSIONS

A very striking thing about The Book of Mormon is the frequent quotes or near quotes it makes from the Bible, the Authorized or King James Version. This was the version that was popular during the days of Joseph Smith. The books of the Bible were originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek without chapter and verse divisions. These came in the sixteenth century after Christ. But in the numerous direct quotes from the Bible that are made by The Book of Mormon, the very same verse divisions as found in the Authorized Version are generally used. Except for the occasional addition of a few words the quotations are identical with the Authorized Version. For example: 1 Nephi 20 and 21 are the same as Isaiah 48 and 49; 2 Nephi 7 and 8 are the same as Isaiah 50 to 52:2; 2 Nephi 12 to 24 is the same as Isaiah 2 to 14; 2 Nephi 27:25-35 is the same as Isaiah 29:13-24; Mosiah 14 is the same as Isaiah 53; 3 Nephi 24 is the same as Malachi 3; 3 Nephi 25 is the same as Malachi 4 and Moroni 10:9-17 is basically the same as 1 Corinthians 12:8-11. These are only a few of the many practically direct quotations from the Authorized Version of the Bible.

The Book of Mormon has men who are supposed to have lived…

Interestingly enough, The Book of Mormon has men who are supposed to have lived several hundred years before Christ using expressions that are found in the Greek Scriptures of the Bible, which Scriptures were written after the time of Christ. Paul’s expression at Hebrews 13:8 is used at least five times. He said: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (AV) Its first appearance in The Book of Mormon is at 1 Nephi 10:18, which was supposedly written more than 600 years before the days of the apostle Paul. It says: “For he is the same yesterday, to-day, and forever.” The other places where it appears are 2 Nephi 27:23, Alma 31:17, Mormon 9:9 and Moroni 10:19. The expression Paul used about the resurrection of Christ’s anointed followers at 1 Corinthians 15:53 is also used in several places. Paul said: “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” (AV) Notice the similarity to this famous expression of Mosiah 16:10: “Even this mortal shall put on immortality, and this corruption shall put on incorruption.” Variations of it appear at Alma 40:2 and 41:4. Both of these books are dated before Christ.

At Hebrews 3:8, 11 (AV), which quotes from Psalm 95:8, 11, it is written: “Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.” See the similarity of this statement at Alma 12:35, which is dated 82 B.C.: “Whosoever will harden his heart and will do iniquity, behold, I swear in my wrath that he shall not enter into my rest.” Verses 36 and 37 repeat the expression. A few verses back in this same chapter there is another expression found in Paul’s letter to the Hebrews with a slight variation. Verse 27 says: “It was appointed unto men that they must die; and after death, they must come to judgment.” The same expression appears at Hebrews 9:27.

Sometimes a verse in The Book of Mormon will contain familiar expressions from more than one place in the Bible. For example, Alma 34:36 states: “This I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in unholy temples, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell; yea, and he has also said that the righteous shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out; but their garments should be made white through the blood of the Lamb.” The part about God not dwelling in temples is a variation of Stephen’s statement at Acts 7:48. It was Jesus who said the righteous would sit down in the kingdom. His words are recorded at Luke 13:29. The part about the white garments corresponds with Revelation 7:14. Another example is Mormon 9:9: “For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing?” These expressions came from Hebrews 13:8 and James 1:17. Although Mormon is supposed to have said this in North America about 400 years after Christ, it is obvious where the statements originated.

The Book of Mormon has Jesus Christ appearing…

The Book of Mormon has Jesus Christ appearing in the flesh to the people of North America after his resurrection and ascension. Much of what it represents him as saying to the people are expressions written in the Bible. Lengthy quotations from the Authorized Version of what he said in Palestine are put in his mouth as being said in North America. For example, 3 Nephi 12:3-18, 21-28 and 31-45 are practically identical, verse for verse, with Matthew 5:3-18, 21-28 and 31-45 in the Authorized Version. This will also be found true when comparing 3 Nephi 13 with Matthew 6 as well as 3 Nephi 14 with Matthew 7. The type of similarities that comparison of these passages reveals would not have existed if Jesus had truly repeated these things to another people and they were written by different writers in a different language.

Many of Jesus’ statements

Many of Jesus’ statements recorded in the Bible can be found liberally sprinkled throughout The Book of Mormon, from those parts dated nearly 600 years before his birth to those dated over 400 years after his birth. What Jesus said about his sheep at John 10:9, 14, 16 is found, in part, at 1 Nephi 22:25, dated 588 years before Christ. Alma 31:37 uses Jesus’ words at Luke 12:22, although this book is dated 74 years before his birth. Jesus’ well-known expression at Matthew 16:19, where he tells Peter: “Whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven,” is found at Helaman 10:7, which says: “Behold, I give unto you power, that whatsoever ye shall seal on earth shall be sealed in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” This is dated twenty-three years before the birth of Jesus. It should be of interest to mention here that what Peter said about Jesus at Acts 3:22-25 appears, with the exception of a few alterations, at 3 Nephi 20:23-25, as words that Jesus was supposed to have said A.D. 34 to people in North America, but its close resemblance to the Authorized Version of the Bible identifies its source.

In the liberal use that The Book of Mormon makes of what is written in the Authorized Version it has included the spurious passage that appears in this version at Matthew 6:13, the latter part of which verse is recognized as being an uninspired addition to the original Bible writings. This spurious passage at Matthew 6:13, which says: “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen,” appears in identical form at 3 Nephi 13:13. Also, the apparently spurious verses at Mark 16:17, 18 appear almost word for word at Mormon 9:24.

After comparing The Book of Mormon with the Bible

After comparing The Book of Mormon with the Bible, the inevitable conclusions that must be drawn are these: It is not in harmony with the Bible but teaches doctrines that conflict with it. The reason that it has, as Brigham Young said, “many words like those in the Bible,” is that it lifts from the Bible, in great number, expressions used by the Bible writers and weaves them into its own text. What also dresses it up to sound like the popular Authorized Version of the Bible is its constant use of the archaic English of that version.

Detailed history

Measured against the detailed history of…

Measured against the detailed history of the Pentateuch, the sublime beauty of the Psalms, the concisely expressed wisdom of the Proverbs and the upbuilding counsel of the Pauline letters, The Book of Mormon stands as a shabby, uninspiring and painfully wordy imitation of God’s Word.

TRINITY: A FALSE DOCTRINE OF A FALSE CHURCH

TRINITY: A FALSE DOCTRINE OF A FALSE CHURCH

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.

1Timothy 2:5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Galatians 3:20 mediator, however, does not represent just one partybut God is one.

Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Habakuk 1:12 LORD, are you not from everlasting?
My God, my Holy One, you will never die.
You, LORD, have appointed them to execute judgment;
you, my Rock, have ordained them to punish. – TNIV

The dictionary defines trinity as the union of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in one God. Meaning they are equal thus saying God the Father = God the Son = God the Holy Spirit. This idea brought also to a coined word “Triune God” meaning there are three gods in different aspects but the same God in all. How do the Trinitarians say that there are three Gods but united as one God?

These are the verses that they used:

John 14:16, 17, 26

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be [a] in you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. – TNIV

John 15: 26

26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. – TNIV

John 16:13

13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. – NIV

These verses show that they are teaching, witnessing, speaking and hearing. Thus,  they believe that the holy spirit is one being. However, in some verses like Luke 1:41, Matthew 3:11, Acts 10:38 doesn’t show it as a one being. People misinterpreted the above verses in John saying that the holy spirit is like a personal being. It is said in the Holy Scriptures that the personal name of the Father is Jehovah and that the name of the son is Jesus Christ. However, nowhere in the Bible can you find a personal name for the holy spirit.

It says in Acts 7:55,56 that Stephen had seen a vision unto heaven seeing Jesus is standing at the right side of God. But he never mentioned that he saw a holy spirit present with them.

What are the other verses that Trinitarians used to say that there are three different Gods in one God or Jesus is equivalent to Jehovah?

Revelation 1:8

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” – TNIV

However some scholars say it is Jesus. However, nowhere in the Bible says that Jesus is the Almighty God. Indeed from Revelation 1:1 – 2 it clearly states the separateness of Jehovah and Jesus.

Revelation 1: 1- 2

1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,

2who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. – NASB

It says that God gave the revelation to Jesus. Thus it shows Jesus is subordinate to Jehovah. Jehovah was called “Mighty God” in Isaiah 10:21 just like Jesus in Isaiah 9:6 but Jehovah is the only one called “Almighty God”. – Genesis 17:1

Concerning the Alpha and Omega in Revelation 1:8, I suggest you visit this link:

http://www.thoughts.com/letusreason/blog/alpha-and-omega-who-is-talkng-jesus-or-god-349988/

Another verse use by Trinitarians saying Jesus is the Almighty God is because of the word “First” and “Last”.

Revelation 1:17-18

17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

There is a word “First” and “Last” and that makes Trinitarians decide to equate it to “Alpha” and “Omega” just like in Revelation 22:13.

Revelation 22:13

13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. – TNIV

But this cannot be true. This only means Jesus is also the one who helped God to create everything and he is the first creation of God and that he is the last who has given authority in heaven and on earth before he subject himself to God who put all things under his feet. Jesus cannot be the Alpha and Omega or the Almighty God because in John 1:29 it says that Jesus is the Lamb of God – that is a lamb separated from God. When we say “a pen of a writer” what does it suggests to us? It tells us that the writer has a pen to use. Thus, there are two different objects spoken about – the thing and the person.

John 1:29

29The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! – NIV

Also in Revelation 5:13 says that Jesus and Jehovah are separate individuals that to be praise forever.

Revelation 5:13

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

We can notice the conjunction being used here and that is the word “and”. The two objects are being separate with the use of this word. Though we can give examples as two objects that refer to the same person when using “and”, still it prohibits us to conclude it in that way because of the word “to” that followed by a pronoun “him” and that the word “to” was used again in the next identified object. We can notice this since the Greek text of this verse does include the Greek word for “to” in the preceding of both identified objects. Grammatically, it calls for separateness. In a simple English structure when we say “We give thanks to the president and to the chairman of this company”, this is not the same as “We give thanks to the president and chairman of this company”. The first statement identifies two persons unlike the latter statement which shows single identity i.e. he is both president and chairman of the company.

Another verse used by Trinitarians is Revelation 17:14 as they refer Jesus as “King of all kings” and “Lord of all lords” thus making him equivalent to Jehovah.

Revelation 14:14

14“These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.” – NASB

But this should not to say he is Almighty God because in Revelation 19:13 Jesus is describe as the word of God. And in John 1:1 we know that the Word was with God – meaning two separate individuals. While in Revelation 19:15 Jesus is describe as he will trample out the wine in the wine press of the furious anger of almighty God and NOT HIS WINE PRESS OF HIS FURIOUS ANGER. In fact, Jesus after reigning for 1000 years as being king will give back his kingdom to his Father. – 1 Corinthians 15:24-28

Revelation 14:14 does not include Jehovah. Why do we say this? Because if this applies to all Lords and Kings then it must have the Greek word for “all” but it doesn’t have. Thus when revelation came to John when spoken by an angel, the angel is being sure of the distinction of Jehovah and Jesus. He is aware that Jehovah is the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords and so it prohibits the word “all” to use for Jesus. The absence of the word “all” shows explicitly that there is someone who is except from kings and lords that will govern by Jesus and this was true in Corinthians 15:24 – 28 wherein Jesus will subject himself to his Father Jehovah.

Revelation 19:15

15From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. – NASB

1 Corinthians 15:24 – 28

24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. – KJV

Also Jesus cannot be Jehovah, the Almighty God because in Deuteronomy 6:4 Jehovah is only one God. And he proved it as having one name in Zechariah 14:9.

Another verse used by Trinitarians is John 10:30

John 10:30 “I and the Father are One.”

This should not be taken literally for in John 17:21-23, Jesus is praying about his disciples to be one – that is to be united as one just like Jesus and his Father. It only means Jesus is in union with the Father and Jehovah is in union with the Son.

John 17:21-23

21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. – TNIV

Another verse used by Trinitarians is Philippians 2:9-10, which other says Jesus is the name above all names.

Philippians 2:9-10

9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

But notice verse 9. It says God EXALTED HIM and GAVE HIM A NAME that is above all names but not with the name of the Father which is Jehovah. Could it be possible that Jesus exalted himself and gave himself a name? No. It is clear in the verse that God as being separate from Jesus highly exalted him and given him a name.

Another verse use by Trinitarians, equating Jesus to Jehovah is Acts 4:12.

Acts 4:12

12“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” – NASB

In relation also to Acts 10:43 and Matthew 1:21, 23

“All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name” – TNIV. All these verses show that the name Jesus is the key of salvation of a person. JW believe that Jesus is the salvation of mankind for his name means help/salvation of Jehovah. But it should not mean that he alone is the salvation of the people. In fact, 1 Timothy 2:5 states that there is a mediator between God and men and that is Jesus. And in Jude 25 it says that God is our savior and it is through Jesus Christ. Also in 1 Timothy 4:10 it says that God is the Savior.

1Timothy 2:5

5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; – KJV

Jude 25

25to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. – NASB

1Timothy 4:10

10For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. – KJV

Another verse used by Trinitarians is Hebrews 1:3. It says here Jesus is the exact likeness of God’s own being thus claiming by them that Jesus is Jehovah also because it says somewhere in Isaiah that no one is like God.

Hebrews 1:3

3And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, – NASB

4having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

But notice the last sentence in verse 3, it says Jesus sat at the right hand of the Majesty on high and verse 4 it says Jesus had inherited a name greater than any angel. In fact in 1 Colossians 1:15-16 it says that Jesus is the visible likeness of the invisible GodNo one had seen God. – John 1:18 God does not die. – Habakuk 1:12

Majesty in dictionary means supreme power or authority and it is a title use to refer to a King or Queen. Thus, when Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Majesty, Jesus was showing that he is not the Majesty. What about verse 4 which says he inherited a more excellent name? Inheritance cannot mean from your own property but from someone who owns it. It needs someone who will give inheritance to a person or persons. Thus, in a family when we say inheritance it simply shows parents who gives their property to their son/s.

Other verse used by Trinitarians is Acts 20:28.

Acts 20:28

8Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of Godwhich he hath purchased with his own blood. (See this link for further discussion about this subject:

https://fromthesunrising.wordpress.com/2010/09/14/the-truth-in-colossians-11617/

However, look 1 John 1:7 and Revelation 1:4-6. To whom the blood refers to and the way of salvation comes?

1 John 1:7

7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin. – NIV

Revelation 1:4-6

4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. – KJV

Other verse used by Trinitarians is Romans 9:5 and Titus 2:13.

Romans 9:5

5Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

but in NWT

5 to whom the forefathers belong and from whom the Christ [sprang] according to the flesh:God, who is over all, [be] blessed forever. Amen. – NWT

Here is a vivid explanation concerning the translation of Romans 9:5 in NWT. [http://onlytruegod.org/defense/romans9.5.htm]

Titus 2:13

13while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, – NIV

while in NWT

13 while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of [the] Savior of us, Christ Jesus, – NWT

But take a look on Romans 15:5-6, Titus 1:4 and Jude 25

Romans 15:5-6

5May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. – NIV

Titus 1:4

4To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. – KJV

Jude 25

25to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. – NASB

Another verse used by Trinitarians is Matthew 1:23

Matthew 1:23 “Look! The virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and they will call his name Im·man´u·el,” which means, when translated, “With Us Is God.”

They used it as proof text that Jehovah was with those persons before literally. However, we can find many biblical texts that show Jehovah is with his people but not literally. I suggest you see these verses that show Jehovah is with his people before – Isaiah 8:10; Deuteronomy 20:1 and Psalms 46:7, 11.

Another verse by Trinitarians is John 5:18

John 5:18For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

This verse doesn’t prove that Jesus is Almighty God. This is words of John was the belief of Jews about Jesus. The Jews are saying that since Jesus called God as his own Father then they believe that he is making himself equal with God.

For one to say that John is saying that Jesus makes himself equal with God, he should also say that John believes that Jesus had sinned against the law of Sabbath as this was the thinking of the Jews before unto Jesus. Should John say that Jesus is sinning against the law of Sabbath because of Jesus’ good works? No. But this was the thinking of the Jews about Jesus. How come John would say that Jesus had broken the Sabbath? To say this by John is to agree with the Jews who are against the doings of Jesus on a Sabbath. John was the one chosen to proclaim about the Messiah or Christ. He was the first one who had seen and heard the manifestation from God that Jesus is the Son of God. So how come would John think that Jesus is breaking the Sabbath or to say that he is sinning and that Jesus is making himself equal with God? Jesus explained that priests do things in Sabbath and are blameless according to the Jews and also who profaned or not considered Sabbath as a sacred matter – Matthew 12:5; John 7:22, 23. The truth is that it was the Jews who claimed it and John had just reported their thoughts about Jesus. Jesus did not break the law of Sabbath because he perform a miracle and done good thing to a man on a Sabbath day unlike the other priests mentioned by Jesus who are circumcising little children during a Sabbath day but believe by the Jews as if these priests are blameless against the law. Jesus is just comparing the works of priests on Sabbath day (which were believed by the Jews as blameless) and his works which shows good thing not only to the man but for his Father as well.

Also notice on John 10:32 – 36 where Jesus is implicitly saying that he is a godbut not the God and explicitly saying that he is the Son of God. When Jews questions Jesus as he was making himself “a god” they want to stone him but Jesus quote from Psalm 82:6 mentioning those gods called by Jehovah and in this he is saying that why would they stone him if Jehovah calls people as gods? In this passage Jesus is clearly identifying himself as a god in an implicit waybut not the God for he just quoted the words of his Father as of like calling people as gods. In addition to this he questioned the Jews how come they say that he blasphemed when God sent him and he said he is the Son of God but he never said implicitly that he is God (the Almighty).

These are the verses that prove that Jehovah is not coequal with Jesus:

John 17:3

This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. – NWT

John 17:24

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. – TNIV

John 17:5

5 So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.

Galatians 3:20

20 A mediator, however, does not represent just one party; but God is one. – NIV

In relation to 1 Timothy 2:5 as Jesus is the mediator between God and men.

John 7:28, 29

28Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me. – KJV

John 8:28, 29

28So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the one I claim to be and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me29The one who sent me is with mehe has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.”

John 5:30

30 I cannot do a single thing of my own initiativejust as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me. – NWT

John 12: 49-50

49 because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak. 50 Also, I know that his commandment means everlasting life. Therefore the things I speak, just as the Father has told me [them], so I speak [them].” – NWT

John 16:32

32 Look! The hour is coming, indeed, it has come, when YOU will be scattered each one to his own house and YOU will leave me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

Daniel 7:13

13 “I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One14 And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin.

The verses in Daniel speaks of two persons. It is Jehovah and Jesus.

Mark 13:32

32 “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.

Revelation 1:1

1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,

*Revelation 6:16-17

16 And they keep saying to the mountains and to the rock-masses: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

This verse clearly shows that Jesus and Jehovah are showing their wrath. Two identities who are both present at the same time.

*Revelation 3:21

21 To the one that conquers I will grant to sit down with me on my throne, even as I conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

It clearly states that Jesus sits on his throne and that he is with his Father who is also sitting on its throne.

*Revelation 3:12

12 “‘The one that conquers—I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will by no means go out [from it] anymore, and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which descends out of heaven from my God, and that new name of mine.

Jesus is already in heaven by this time yet he said “in the temple of my God” and “the name of my God” and “from my God”. This clearly shows that they are distinct persons.

In relation to Revelation 14:1

1 And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.

Compare Zechariah 14:9

9 And Jehovah must become king over all the earth. In that day Jehovah will prove to be one, and his name one.

So how could be his name two? Thus, Jesus has a new name and Jehovah also has one name that will be written on the foreheads of those people who will be on heaven.

John 14: 23 – 24

23 In answer Jesus said to him: “If anyone loves me, he will observe my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our abode with him. 24 He that does not love me does not observe my words; and the word that YOU are hearing is not mine, but belongs to the Father who sent me.

John 8:40

40“But as it is, you are seeking to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God; this Abraham did not do.

John 7:16 – 17

16 Jesus, in turn, answered them and said: “What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me17 If anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching whether it is from God or I speak of my own originality.

John 14:28

28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. – TNIV

1 Corinthians 11:3

3But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:27, 28

27For He [the Father] has put all things in subjection under His [Christ’s] feet. But when it says, All things are put in subjection [under Him], it is evident that He [Himself] is excepted Who does the subjecting of all things to Him.

28However, when everything is subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also subject Himself to [the Father] Who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all [be everything to everyone, supreme, the indwelling and controlling factor of life]. – AMP

1 Corinthians 8:5, 6

5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one Godthe Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. – TNIV

1 Peter 1:3

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, – KJV

John 20:17

17Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Fatherto my God and your God.’ ” – NIV

John 1:18

18No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. – KJV

John 1:14

14And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. – NASB

Colossians 3:1

1Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. – NASB

1 Peter 3:21-22

21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection ofJesus Christ:
22Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Romans 8:34

Who then can condemn? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. – TNIV
This is clearly a connection proof of Jesus as mediator between men and God – 1 Timothy 2:5

John 10:36

36do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

John 3:17,18

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

John 17:8

8for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

Luke 4:18

18“THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME,
BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR.
HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES,
AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND,
TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
19TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.” – NASB

John 15:15

15“No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. – NASB

John 17:5

5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Psalm 110:1-2

The LORD says to my lord: [a]
Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet.”

The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying,
“Rule in the midst of your enemies.” – TNIV

And this was quoted by Jesus and was reported in Matthew 22:41-45. Jesus himself was saying as to who he is and from whom he came from. David was inspired by the holy spirit this was the scenario when Jehovah promised to Jesus to rule against its enemies.

Luke 18:18-19

18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”    19Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

JOHN 11:15-18

11These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I HAVE HEARD OF MY FATHER I have made known unto you.
16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ASK OF THE FATHER IN MY NAME, he may give it you.
17These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18If the WORLD HATE YOU, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

The best from the word of Jesus which he quoted from the words of His Father:

Matthew 4:10

10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[a]

a. Deuteronomy 6:13

1 Timothy 6:13-16

13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. – TNIV

If Jesus is really God then why he does not say these in Matthew 4:10 “Are you insulting me and out of your mind Satan? I am Almighty God, your creator and your God yet you want me to bow or worship you? How foolish is your thinking!”

I hope the verses presented here as also presented by the JW will help the viewers who believe in Trinity or of Triune God understand the true teachings of the Holy Scriptures. I hope those Trinitarians will start to know and accept the truth.

NOTICE: THE WORLD BETWEEN THE JW AND THE TRINITARIANS IS LIKE THIS: “WHEN A JW PRESENT SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS TO TRINITARIANS THE TRINITARIANS PRESENTS ANOTHER TEXT TO PROVE THEIR FALSE DOCTRINE BUT THE JW HAVE EXPLAINED ALL OF THESE YET THE VERSES PRESENTED BY JW TO WHICH JEHOVAH AND JESUS IDENTIFIED AS DISTINCT AND SEPARATE ARE BEING IGNORED BY THEM SIMPLY BY REFERRING TO ANOTHER TEXTS TO BACK UP ON THEIR BIASED DOTRINE.”

Heaven and Earth Will Pass Away – What Does It Implies? (REEDITED)

Heaven and Earth Will Pass Away – What Does It Implies?

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” – Matthew24:35

These are the words of Jesus to his disciples before. He assured that it would be easier for heaven and earth to pass rather than a single word from the Scriptures not to come true.

Now are these literal heavens and earth that will pass away? Let us consider the verse below.

Isaiah 34:4 And all those of the army of the heavens must rot away. And the heavens must be rolled up, just like a book scroll; and their army will all shrivel away, just as the leafage shrivels off the vine and like a shriveled [fig] off the fig tree. – NWT

Isaiah 34:4 All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved
and the sky rolled up like a scroll;
all the starry host will fall
like withered leaves from the vine,
like shriveled figs from the fig tree. – NIV

Isaiah 34:4And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. – KJV

If you notice in NIV it is written as “all stars of heavens will be dissolved.” also with KJV as “all the host of heaven” which may have the same meaning as stars. So taking the same meaning and literally, all stars would be gone. Let us see if this is really the concept of this verse.

Hebrew 12:26At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” [a] 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

Notice the word use “once more”. Meaning Jehovah had shaken the earth before but not literally that is when he done something for Israelites during the time of Moses.  First when Israelites were been freed from Egyptians. The power of Jehovah had seen and heard by many people not only in Egypt but also in other lands. He did not shake the earth literally before. A lot of events in the Bible showed how Jehovah shaken the earth for his chosen people.  So with this, we must also consider the heavens as not literally. “Once more” was explained by Paul as of removing of what can be shaken and it is the false teachings created by the false religions so that the truth which cannot be shaken may remain. Let us consider another verse in order to know the meaning of these verses.

Isaiah 13:11 I will punish the world for its evil,
the wicked for their sins.
I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty
and will humble the pride of the ruthless.

12 I will make people scarcer than pure gold,
more rare than the gold of Ophir.

13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;
and the earth will shake from its place
at the wrath of the LORD Almighty,
in the day of his burning anger.

It was said that on that day of Jehovah, he will make heavens tremble and earth shake. Definitely, the words signify something. It is not yet dissolved. Only tremble and shake. Would it have another meaning? Let us have an illustration. When a thing or land was shaken, obviously the thing or land is still there. But it would create a result or impact on it. A sand on a water in a container will be at the bottom level of the water yet when you shook it then,  it would scattered all throughout the water. But still there is still the water and the sand on it. On the other hand, a certain land when hit by an earthquake would create an impact to its people and to the land itself. Yet, the land itself still exists. That is what Isaiah 13:13 means. On that day of Jehovah he will shake the earth and make heavens tremble but the earth and heavens (symbolically) will still stand for a few moments until the judgment of God came upon them. This might happen on the Great Tribulation unto Armageddon when all the powers of nations will be shaken and the strong and mighty people will be trembled. So Isaiah 34:4 means that this “heavens” (those with rulership particularly in religions) will rot or vanish and their armies or followers will have the same fate because they did not accept the truth about the word of God. Heaven and earth will be shaken. Meaning, people with powers and authorities as well as their people or followers will be shaken by the word of God. They will finally realize the truth exposed by his words. But I believe this religious leaders will not listen to the truth because they don’t want to accept their faults and be embarrassed with lots of people by telling to their people that they are wrong and so they will end up like in Isaiah 34:4 then afterwards Isaiah 65:17 will be fulfilled. The new heavens are the 144,000 that will rule on earth together with Jesus Christ for 1000 years. This was explained by the Watchtower.

Let us quote the verse in Isaiah 65:17 and 66:22.

Isaiah 65:17 “For here I am creating new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart. – NWT

Isaiah 66:22 “For just as the new heavens and the new earth that I am making are standing before me,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “so the offspring of YOU people and the name of YOU people will keep standing.” – NWT

So if we are going to take this literally as new heavens and new earth, would you think from the time of Isaiah from c. 778 – a. 732 up to the day of Armageddon or even before the earth created until Armageddon, heavens and earth will be completed by God by only just a few or lesser time? Scientifically, galaxies have existed for billions of years. Our earth was said to be existed for 4.5 billion of years. Fossils found to have existed thousands and millions of years ago. Minerals which can be found underneath the earth have formed millions of years ago. How can a new earth which made by Jehovah as other claim starting from Isaiah can produce minerals which may produced from only 2500 years ago.  Though we know Jehovah is powerful, it all takes time to create everything. Why  the universe did not exist in a few days or not as literal 6 days mentioned in Genesis? It is because it takes a lot of time to create all things. Jehovah knows everything by his appointed time.

Perhaps we cannot guarantee the validity of the scientific reports. So some would say, cannot God himself make them in only less time he wants just like in thousand years? Well, we don’t know that. But one thing we are sure. Jehovah is a great designer. He would not just create things in heaven and earth without prior knowledge. He created everything with purpose. Why would Jehovah eliminate the wonderful things he made? He exerted time and effort and he will just vanish it all? For what purpose and reason? What do you think? I believe our solar system and our planet earth just as established in its right position were created scientifically and mathematically. You can see the proofs in his words in the Bible.

Did he not establish the gravitational force of earth to be 9.8 m/s2? I doubt if he did not. The speed of light, did he not define it?  Before all mathematics and sciences came to existence into human mind, He himself formulated and defined it.

Proverbs 3:19 Jehovah himself in wisdom founded the earth. He solidly fixed the heavens in discernment. 20 By his knowledge the watery deeps themselves were split apart, and the cloudy skies keep dripping down light rain

Job 38:33-36

33 Have you come to know the statutes of the heavens,
Or could you put its authority in the earth?

34 Can you raise your voice even to the cloud,
So that a heaving mass of water itself may cover you?

35 Can you send forth lightnings that they may go
And say to you, ‘Here we are!’?

36 Who put wisdom in the cloud layers,
Or who gave understanding to the sky phenomenon?

He established our solar system and other galaxies in equilibrium. Because it was perfectly designed and positioned, man continues to exist. Earth has approximately equal day and night. It is placed in the third position of the planetary system to have right temperature so that life would be possible. Haven’t God designed the number of hours the earth should rotate on its own axis? Did he not consider the must speed of the earth to rotate in its own axis? There are scientific reasons about it. Did Jehovah create it without prior knowledge and understanding? By just putting heavenly bodies in a wrong position or moved them out of their path, then it could cause a terrible destruction for all of us and to other things. Taken this considerably, could we say now that Jehovah will eliminate these things and replace them with new in just a short period of time? Why would he if he can restore it back again? If I am an owner of a mansion and pests gets inside my mansion, would I burn the whole mansion or just remove the pests inside my mansion? Remember, I spent a lot of money, time and effort and I would just destroy it through turning it into ashes? That’s is not a good thinking to do. From the magazine of the JW it says, if a person has a mansion and rigtheous people live there and eventually some wicked people live there also. Would the person burn the whole mansion or just remove the wicked persons from that mansion and fix the destroyed part of the house? The right thinker will not destroyed it but restored it – removing all the damages and unnecessary things on it.

The proofs that heavens and earth will not eliminate.

Psalms 89:35Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. – KJV

Psalms 89:35 Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness—
and I will not lie to David—

36 that his line will continue forever
and his throne endure before me like the sun;

37 it will be established forever like the moon,
the faithful witness in the sky.” – TNIV

Genesis 17:7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. 8 The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.” TNIV

Genesis 17:7And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. – KJV

Genesis 48:3 Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and there he blessed me 4 and said to me, ‘I am going to make you fruitful and increase your numbers. I will make you a community of peoples, and I will give this land as an everlasting possession to your descendants after you.’ – TNIV

Genesis 48:3And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
4And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession. – KJV

Ezekiel 37:24 ” ‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. 25 They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever. – TNIV

Proverbs2:21For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. – KJV

See? The perfect SHALL REMAIN ON IT THAT IS HERE ON EARTH. Meaning they will remain on earth.

Psalms 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. – KJV

Awit 104:5 Na siyang naglagay ng mga patibayan ng lupa, upang huwag makilos magpakailan man – Ang Dating Biblia (1905) o Ang Biblia

Proverbs 10:30 The righteous will never be uprooted,

but the wicked will not remain in the land.  – TNIV

Proverbs 10:30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth. [TAKE NOTE: THE EARTH NOT A NEW EARTH.]

Joel 3:20 – 21

20But Judah will be inhabited forever
And Jerusalem for all generations.
21And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged,
For the LORD dwells in Zion. – NASB

If there is really a literal new earth to be inhabited then why are the verses shows not like that? Is Jehovah being inconsistent to his words because of the new earth he mentioned? Of course no! He means it in other way. Well, the reason is from the previous verses. This earth will be restored and this will be the same physical earth that will be inhabited by the righteous people.

Psalms 119:90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth – KJV

Psalms 119;88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.
89For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. – KJV

(emphasize the word “forever” in  relation to his words below.)

Isaiah 34:11-17

17He has cast the lot for them,
And His hand has divided it to them by line
They shall possess it forever;
From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

The different birds are going to dwell on the appointed place by God.

Isaiah 45:18 For this is what the LORD says—
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited
he says:
I am the LORD,
and there is no other. – TNIV

HERE GOD TOLD THAT HE CREATED THE EARTH NOT TO BE EMPTIED BUT TO BE INHABITED.THEREFORE, HE WON’T DESTROY THE EARTH JUST AS WHAT HE WANTED IT TO BE INHABITED.

Again emphasize the words of Jehovah below.

Isaiah 55:11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me voidbut it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. – KJV

“New heavens and new earth that I am making.”

This verse shows God is presently making new heavens and new earth. How should we understand the new heavens and new earth? We must understand them symbolically. He is “making” new heavens and new earth because from the time of Isaiah, he is making his way for his chosen people to acquire the kingdom of heaven (the 144,000) and the other righteous people to possess the earth. However, prior to that there is a prophecy in the book of Psalms that some people will go to heaven and it was foretold by a psalmist in Psalms 68;18 which states,

18 You have ascended on high;
You have carried away captives;
You have taken gifts in the form of men,
Yes, even the stubborn ones, to reside [among them], O Jah God.”

So the heavens which Jesus said will pass away are not literal in sense. He is just comparing the nature of these things that are subject to cease when God wants it unto his words that will never pass away. His words are related to this verse.

Isaiah 24:21 In that day the LORD will punish
the powers in the heavens above
and the kings on the earth below.

22 They will be herded together
like prisoners bound in a dungeon;
they will be shut up in prison
and be punished after many days
. – TNIV

You can check also other versions of the Bible. All of them show heavenly power. Obviously this cannot be demons because it is said all of them that is both the powers in heavens and kings on earth are gathered together as prisoners and at the right time they will be visited or punished. We know that kings all over the earth who will oppose the will of God will be destroyed in Armageddon as well as all the kingdoms while Satan and his demons will be imprisoned after the Armageddon. So logically, they are not together literally. So it has another meaning, of course. Who are those people in verse 21? These are all leaders of false religions and kings on earth with rulership. They will put on a pit as prisoners for a period of time and will punish at the right time. When will this happen? Of course, there will come a time that Jehovah will denunciate all these nations and kingdoms.

Zephaniah 3:8 “‘Therefore keep yourselves in expectation of me,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘till the day of my rising up to [the] booty, for my judicial decision is to gather nations, for me to collect together kingdoms, in order to pour out upon them my denunciation, all my burning anger; for by the fire of my zeal all the earth will be devoured. – NWT

Jeremiah 10:10 But Jehovah is in truth God. He is the living God and the King to time indefinite. Because of his indignation the earth will rock, and no nations will hold up under his denunciation.

Luke 21:25 “Also, there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations, not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and [its] agitation, 26 while men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. – NWT

I believe as I do understand that this event will have to come. Because all the nations before are not yet denunciated and all nations have not come yet to the denunciation of God because the truth emerge in all nations starting only from the time of Christianity which was first revealed by Jesus thus, the denunciation will take place after the first Christians emerged and before Armageddon. How come it is all – meaning all nations…. it is because God will gather all nations against his denunciation. Denunciation from online dictionary means;

de·nounce

verb \di-ˈnau̇n(t)s, dē-\

de·nouncedde·nounc·ing

Definition of DENOUNCE

transitive verb
1
: to pronounce especially publicly to be blameworthy or evildenounced him as a bigot>
2
archaica : proclaimb : to announce threateningly
3
: to inform against : accuse
4
obsolete : portend
5
: to announce formally the termination of (as a treaty)
Here we can see the word ”denounce” means being condemned and nearly to terminate. Thus it suggest His denunciation will come and the termination for all nations of those who are against JEHOVAH will come to an end. This will happen very soon as all nations will not be able to hold the denunciation of God. All people who are teaching false will finally come to their end when the Great Day of Jehovah will come. The denunciation is to all nations.

Luke 21:26Men swooning away or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; for the [very] powers of the heavens will be shaken and [d]caused to totter. – AMP

Luke 21:26Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. – KJV

Luke 21:26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. – NASB

Let us see other verses from the Bible that misinterpreted by many religions. Let us quote them.

Psalms1:10 He also says,
“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.

11 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.

12 You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end. – TNIV

It is also in Psalms 102:25-26.

What does it mean? It means heavens and earth are subject to cease or disappear. It is a comparison statement between the things made by Jehovah and himself. The quality of the things he made which can be eliminated and his quality of being eternal. His creation has beginnings and will stop to exist as he wish it to happen. But Jehovah has no beginning and no ending – Psalms 90:2; Habakuk 1:12.

A verse from the Bible can prove that heavens and earth will not disappear.

Psalms 89:2 Your unfailing love will last forever.
Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. – NLT

Psalms 89:2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. – KJV

Awit 119:89 Magpakailan man, Oh Panginoon, ang iyong salita ay natatag sa langit. – Ang Dating Biblia (1905) –

So definitely from this we can learn that the words of Jehovah are faithful and are not lies – Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18. And if the heavens will disappear, where can he set his words that would prove it is forever? See?

Let us quote the words of Jehovah that says heavens and earth will not be removed.

Psalms 148:3-12

3 Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars
.

4 Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies
.

5 Let them praise the name of the LORD,
for at his command they were created,

6 and he established them for ever and ever—
he issued a decree that will never pass away
.

7 Praise the LORD from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,

8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,

9 you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,

10 wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,

11 kings of the earth and all nations,
you princes and all rulers on earth,

12 young men and women,
old men and children. – TNIV

3Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
6He hath also established them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. – KJV

This is not literally from the mouth of Jehovah but the writings were inspired by the holy spirit of Jehovah thus it comes from Jehovah (see 1 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 20 – 21). The verse below is more undeniable. Would the verses above signify only people? No.  People are also included on those verses (v. 11-12). From verse 3 to 12 all are commanded to praise him. Why? It is to clearly emphasize that all people [in the coming paradise] are subject to praise him. There would be no excuse to anyone. In heaven and on earth it is a must. That is why the Psalmist used the nonliving things even it is impossible for them to do that. So definitely those are literal things. And the BEST PROOF FROM THE WORDS OF JEHOVAH…

Jeremiah 31:35 This is what Jehovah, the Giver of the sun for light by day, the statutes of the moon and the stars for light by night, the One stirring up the sea that its waves may become boisterous, the One whose name is Jehovah of armies, has said: 36 “‘If these regulations could be removed from before me,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘those who are the seed of Israel could likewise cease from proving to be a nation before me always.’”  – NWT

Jeremiah31:36 “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,”
declares the LORD,
“will the descendants of Israel ever cease
to be a nation before me.

Let us clarify the words above. If the stars will remove so definitely we will never see their light at night as well as the sun on day. Of course removing earth will not prove the words of Jehovah. Is the seed of Abraham only stops after Armageddon so heavens and earth will vanish? No. The words of Jehovah are clear. The chosen nation won’t stop after Armageddon. There would be offspring that would come after Armageddon. Abraham and Israel’s descendants will be from generations to generations and be forever – “TO BE A NATION BEFORE ME” said by God. So definitely the nation here includes the Gentile nations that will live forever. So if the heavens and stars disappeared, how come the nation of God will stand before him? Just as simple as that. This seed could not only refer to the 144,000 because Jehovah promised to Abraham that his seed will possess the land of Canaan and even the land where his seeds became alien residences before.

Genesis 17:7 “And I will carry out my covenant between me and you and your seed after you according to their generations for a covenant to time indefinite, to prove myself God to you and to your seed after you. 8 And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land of your alien residences, even the entire land of Ca´naan, for a possession to time indefinite; and I will prove myself God to them.

Jeremiah 33:22-26

25 “This is what Jehovah has said, ‘If it was not a fact that I had appointed my own covenant of the day and night, the statutes of heaven and earth, 26 so too I would reject even the seed of Jacob and of David my servant, so that I should not take from his seed rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I shall gather their captives and will have pity upon them.’”

Again some people will twist these words. Some will say how come it will be generations to generations and be forever? Can the earth hold the growing populations forever? From generation to generations doesn’t mean offspring will be coming forever. Jehovah did not say any words that prove that. You cannot find anything that supported such idea. He just said from “generation to next generations” but not “generations to come forever”. Before people know the effect of continuous population forever, God knows it already. So definitely he would stop it. But where is the proof that after Armageddon people will still give birth? Read the verse below.

Isaiah 65: 23 They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them. – TNIV

And this is a true happening after Armageddon because it is under on the new heaven and new earth that Jehovah will make – Isaiah 65:17 – 25.

The verse below assured the nation (not the Holy Nation or the Spiritual Israel) that would not end in Armageddon.

Acts 3:25 And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.’

This doesn’t happen yet (ALL PEOPLE ON EARTH WILL BE BLESSED BUT IT WOULD SOON COME) and it would only happen after Jehovah eliminated all the wicked people, Satan and his demons and that is after 1000 years.

Another verse use by some preachers is this verse:

2 Corinthians 4:18 while we keep our eyes, not on the things seen, but on the things unseen. For the things seen are temporary, but the things unseen are everlasting. -NWT

Interpreting the Bible needs logic. There are literal and symbolical words. Thus, we must consider everything in order not to contradict to other verses. There might be two same words of the verses that seem contradicting and unless we understand the real thought of God we cannot arrive at the right conclusion. The problem with many religions is they stick to their own knowledge and not consider the thought of Jehovah. Just like in the word “new earth”, a lot of verses in the Bible show that the earth will remain forever. From Genesis to Revelation. A very simple word, but if someone read it with “understanding” then he may know the real teachings of the word of God. About 2Corinthians 4:18, does it apply to everything we see? If you say yes then you have to prove me that the idea below belongs to this verse.

We have heard the word of God through many preachers and we have WITNESSED the truthfulness of his words by READING and UNDERSTANDING it from the Bible. WE HAVE SEEN HIS WORDS IN THE BIBLEWould it mean the words we perceived through reading and hearing will pass or gone in our mind? Or to make it plainWILL THE HOLY SCRIPTURES DISAPPEAR? If you say yes, then you are against his words written by Isaiah on Isaiah 40:8.

Isaiah 40:8 The green grass has dried up, the blossom has withered; but as for the word of our God, it will last to time indefinite.” – NWT

Therefore, 2 Corinthians 4:18 is literal in a way that the bad thoughts and memories as well as bad experiences will not be remembered by those people who will be resurrected and survived in Armageddon but not all the things we currently see will vanish. If someone will take this literal seriously, then he is also believing that the righteous people that he sees is also temporal and that would be against now to the will of God of giving everlasting life to righteous people.

Another verse use by some religious leaders is Matthew 25:34.

Another scriptural text use by some religions is Matthew 25:34 and they are interpreting it in literal sense. Let us quote the verse.

Matthew 25:34

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. – TNIV

Since the kingdom mentioned by Jesus was said to be prepared by his Father ever since the creation of the world, they use to say that there is another literal new earth that is reserved for mankind. However, this does not disprove the word of God. Remember Jehovah said through Isaiah that he is making new heavens and a new earth. That is and should be in present tense meaning when Jehovah said it he is already making his way or preparing it to come. You can read the verse in Isaiah 65:17. Thus it contradicts Matthew 25:34 if we would mean that a literal new earth was made already and reserved for righteous people. So how should we understand the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:34? What Jesus is saying is that the kingdom which God has prepared for man since the creation of the world is simply the inheritance that righteous people will have and that is the earth. They will live forever on earth. When Jehovah created Adam and Eve he told them to multiply and have authority on every living creatures on earth. Jehovah’s will is to let Adam and Eve and their offspring to live forever on earth. He told the couple to let the earth become a whole paradise.  That was the original aim of Jehovah in creating the earth and the couple. Since Adam and Eve have given authority by Jehovah to have control over the animals and things on earth, this means Jehovah is giving the earth as their kingdom on which they will be heading it. But since the couple had sinned against Jehovah, the kingdom (their inheritance of the earth) which was given to them on which they will have control over it did not continue to be on their authority because they died. That is why when Jesus mentioned that the kingdom prepared by his Father since the creation of the world really reflects the extended government from heaven unto the earth or the organization on earth that is aimed by Jehovah since before and that the “kingdom” that righteous may have is to possess and have control over the things on earth in beautifying the earth as a paradise. When the “aimed” organization on earth through Adam and Eve was broken because of Satan, Jehovah still aim that there will be an organization that will govern the earth and that is through the Heavenly Kingdom which he had established through his appointed king none other than Jesus.  One example of this who will possess a kingdom (rulership) on earth in the future is David which can be found in Psalms 89:27 – 37 and Ezekiel 37:24 – 26. Of course, David is not the only one who will govern on earth. There are other people who will have authority to govern the people on earth and they will be subjected to the one government of God in heaven. Jesus words “to possess the kingdom eversince the world began” means everyone will possess a property to own and manage. With this process, the whole earth will have abundance of food and will be beautified again and will continue to bloom forever.

What about the texts in 2 Peter 3:5 – 7? What does “heavens” and “earth” means on that texts?

Let us quote the verse.

2 Peter 3: 5 – 7

5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserve to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.

I believe, the “heavens” which was mentioned before by apostle Peter refers to literal heavens. The “earth” mentioned by Peter is the literal earth. Through God’s words, the world suffered destruction from God. Some average stars (those existed 25,000 years ago) are said to explode at their own time and this may happen after 10,000 to 100,000 years of their existence if I am not mistaken. We cannot be sure of this knowledge though science can be certain in many things. Remember, science also said that the sun will end up in the coming half or billion years where scientists said that it will run out of hydrogen and eventually expands bigger and bigger and that will make our earth dissolved. But this is impossible in regards to the words of Jehovah mention in the previous verses. He has set its temperature so that earth will have life on it. If he can set the temperature of the sun for us to have life now, definitely he can also set and fixed the temperature of the sun in the future in order the earth remain and the human live forever as what he promised to the people. So how come Jehovah will destroy heavens when in fact he set statutes on heavenly things he made that will never pass – Psalms 148:6?  Actually, in Isaiah 40:26 it says that no one from all the stars is missing and that God calls all of them by its name. Science reports that stars are really exploding after 10,000(?) or 100,000(?) years for ordinary stars.  However, the sun existed for 4.6 billion years now and the sun is an average star yet it is not being dissolved until now. On the other hand, though we know and may believe that other stars may explode as what the astronomers discovered and seen, the words of Jehovah guarantees us that earth and people on it will abide forever. Those explosions in heavens may be true as the fulfillment of God’s words about the signs in the sun, moon and stars that is about to happen in the last days before the Son of Man appears. If He can make path for the planets to revolve around the sun through his dynamic power then definitely he can also make a continuous decree on how the sun will give its proper energy to earth. If he made and can uphold billions of galaxies (with estimated of 100 billions as what science reported) with enormous forces on it as what science is saying, then there is nothing impossible as for the sun not to explode as well as the heavens not to vanish because nothing is impossible to Jehovah. (Matthew 19:26; Luke 1:37) Thus his words will be fulfilled because nothing in his words is impossible. Therefore the other “heavens” and “earth” that are stored up for fire for judgment does not literally mean as literal heavens and the literal earth but rather those “heavens” are those individuals of the world with high positions who are against of the will of Jehovah and the “earth” is the general wicked people of the earth.

Consider the verse below when Jehovah refers to “heavens” and “earth”.

Deuteronomy 31:30 – 32:1

30 And Moses proceeded to speak in the hearing of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song until their completion:

1 “Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak;
And let the earth hear the sayings of my mouth.

At that time when Moses sang this, he was referring to the Israel nation (though he is taking the heavens and earth as witnesses of his words which includes angels who are watching and the Israel who  were hearing by that time) thus the word “heavens” could refers to angelic beings  and the “earth” refers to the general people of Israel who were freed from the Egyptians.

What are the other verses in the Bible that shows “earth” is not always the literal earth? Consider the following verses:

Genesis 11:1 Now all the earth continued to be of one language and of one set of words.

The word “all the earth” (compare this to the Deuteronomy 32:1) here refers not to the literal earth but to all the people on earth on that time. The people before are speaking in one language. Since the literal earth cannot speak literally, then it is proper to conclude that the “earth” here means the people on earth at that time. The same thought could be seen in Habakuk 2:20; Psalms 76:8 and Isaiah 11:9.

What about 2 Peter 3:10 – 12? To which the heavens, elements and earth refer to?

2 Peter 3:10 – 12

10 Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought YOU to be in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion, 12 awaiting and keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which [the] heavens being on fire will be dissolved and [the] elements being intensely hot will melt! – NWT

It is true that the word “heavens” may would meas as of literal heavens but should we mean that this is the heaven that we see on sky by our eyes? We know that there are billions of galaxies to which there are billions of stars on each galaxy. Those galaxies are called heavens also. Thus, the heavens that may dissolved or vanished are the the heavens which are not in our common sight and this is happening as science reported that some stars are colliding or even exploding. Jehovah promised in his words that moon and stars that we see will not be removed and that he made a decree over them to give light at night as well as the sun (See the Biblical verse above). His words would not be broken as it is true in many verses above about the earth that will not be removed. (Psalms 37:29; 104:5)

In relation to the word “dissolved” in the above verse please see Psalms 75:2 -3 wherein the same word “dissolved” was been used on the first judgment of God to earth but still the earth exist. The same will happen in this present earth. The “earth”, the wicked people on earth are the ones who will be “dissolved”. The heavens that were talking here could also mean those people with rulership and power. They are the ones who will melt.

2 “For I proceeded to take a set time;
I myself began judging with uprightness.

The earth and all its inhabitants being dissolved,
It was I that adjusted its pillars. – NWT

2“When I select an appointed time,
It is I who judge with equity.
3The earth and all who dwell in it [a]melt;
It is I who have firmly set its pillars. Selah. – NASB

Notice the word earth and all inhabitants before were dissolved excluding Noah and his family but the earth of yesterday still exist today.

In interpreting Scriptures in an appropriate way, when two same words seems to be contradicting to each other the only way to interpret it is one in literal way and the other one in figurative way. This is the rule in Greek language. We cannot take both words in literal for it would contradict to each other.

TO ALL THE READERS

My writings here do not represent the general views of the Jehovah’s Witnesses thus, I do not say that we have the same explanations yet I do believe that the true God’s people must speak in the same spirit of faith they have.  My explanations here may not be exactly the same as the explanation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses but I do believe that everything not of faith is a sin. I recommend the readers to address their questions to the Jehovah’s Witnesses and at the different branches of the Watchtower for deeper study about the word of God.  I have no intention to put my views as above the others but I do hope this will help to give a further study about a certain topic.

I believe in Romans 14:23 that everything which is not according to faith is a sin. There is only one faith as said in Ephesians 4:4, 5. I believe in the same spirit of faith of Jehovah’s Witnesses and so I speak with what I believe in the same spirit of faith they have – 2 Corinthians 4:13.

13 Now because we have the same spirit of faith as that of which it is written: “I exercised faith, therefore I spoke,” we too exercise faith and therefore we speak,

PAUL HIMSELF IS NOT ONLY BOUND OF FAITH ALONE BUT ALSO EXERCISING FAITH THROUGH SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS TO THE PEOPLE.
